Take your Makeup from Day to Night with 3 Simple Steps

Let's be honest- we don't always have time to apply a fresh face of makeup for Friday night happy hour after a long work day.

Rather than hit the bar with your barely-there office makeup, we're giving you three tips for a quick, night-out-ready look. Hint: It's all about the Eyes & Lips.

Step One: Throw on a Darker Lip Shade

When you throw on a bold lip, you automatically look like you put in effort.

Rather than wearing your day-to-day nude lip for your night out, spice it up a little with a bold red or plum. If deep shades aren't in your comfort zone, play-up your natural lip shade by using a taupe. Our Favorite? Kristofer Buckle's Cashmere slip in Tender (P.S.- its only $14!).

Step Two: Smoke-Up your Everyday Eyeshadow

Don’t have the time or patience to remove your eye makeup from the day? Just utilize it as a base!

Apply darker-toned shadows in the crease and outer corners of your eyelid for an easy smokey eye. MUA tip: add a shimmery shade to the center of your lid for a multidimensional, stand-out look!

If you have an extra five minutes and are feeling a bit creative, add a pop of color to your eye. Pink shadow is trending, and will infuse immediate personality to your makeup! If you don't have a colorful palette on hand, use your lip color or blush!

Step 3: Add Some Drama to your Liner

Everyone loves a cat eye. By grabbing your go-to liquid eyeliner and giving yourself a quick wing, you'll be ready to take on the night.

Pro Tip: KB's Stunt Double eyeliner doubles as a corrector, for quick clean-up- so you can spend less time worrying about uneven wings, and more on your wine selection.
